This plan includes a 3-hour charter of a sightseeing taxi to the area around Oshino Village in Yamanashi Prefecture where the spring fed water from Mt. Fuji can be felt.
Oshino Hakkai: "Oshino Hakkai" refers to a group of eight spring-fed ponds that are the source of underground water from Mt. Fuji. They were designated as a national natural monument in 1934, and in 2013, they were registered as part of the World Heritage Site "Fujisan, sacred place and source of artistic inspiration." Oshino Hakkai was once used as a site for purifying oneself through water during the Edo period by believers of Fujiko (a Shinto sect dedicated to Mt. Fuji). Due to the high water quality, preservation environment, and scenic beauty of the ponds, they were designated as a national natural monument by the Japanese government.
Nijumagari Touge Observation Terrace: On September 13, 2022, the "Nijuumagari Touge Observation Terrace - SORA no IRO" opened at Nijuumagari Touge in Oshino Village, Yamanashi Prefecture. The observation terrace, which is about 50 meters wide and located at an altitude of 1,150 meters, offers a magnificent view of Mt. Fuji that is definitely worth seeing.
