The Experience

Oishi Park Oishi Park is located on the north shore of Lake Kawaguchi, facing the shore of Lake Kawaguchi. In Oishi Park, lavenders start blooming in late June and can be enjoyed until mid-July. The view of the lake and Mt. Fuji beyond the lavenders is unique to Oishi Park. The park is famous for its soft-serve ice cream, which is a must-try when you visit.

Arakura Fuji Sengen Shrine Arakura Fuji Sengen Shrine was established in the 3rd year of Keiun (705 AD) and is widely worshipped as a god of disaster prevention, household harmony, safe childbirth, and child-rearing. The site is also open as Arakura Fuji Sengen Park, which is home to about 650 cherry trees and hosts a cherry blossom festival in April, attracting many visitors.

Oshino Hakkai "Oshino Hakkai" refers to a group of eight spring-fed ponds that are the source of underground water from Mt. Fuji. They were designated as a national natural monument in 1934, and in 2013, they were registered as part of the World Heritage Site "Fujisan, sacred place and source of artistic inspiration." Oshino Hakkai was once used as a site for purifying oneself through water during the Edo period by believers of Fujiko (a Shinto sect dedicated to Mt. Fuji). Due to the high water quality, preservation environment, and scenic beauty of the ponds, they were designated as a national natural monument by the Japanese government. Along the Shin-nasho River, which runs through the heart of Oshino Hakkai, there are approximately 600 Somei Yoshino cherry trees lining the banks, stretching for about 400 meters. Please enjoy the scenery of the cherry blossom avenue at your leisure, immersed in the gentle spring atmosphere.

Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Shrine Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Shrine, one of the constituent assets of the World Heritage Site of Mt. Fuji, has a history of over 1900 years. As you walk along the approach surrounded by thick cedar trees, you will come across the "Fuji-san Otorii," one of the largest wooden torii gates in Japan. The shrine is also famous as a solemn and powerful spiritual spot.
